Lydia Davis has worked in various aspects of design throughout her professional career. Early on, she was employed as a colorist for several large textile and wallpaper manufacturers. While living in San Diego, Lydia provided color services for National Retail Partners. Most recently, she taught computer graphics using Adobe software, color theory and drawing at Montgomery College in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. Prior to moving to Taos, New Mexico, Lydia designed a series of digital prints and greeting cards that incorporate Native American symbols.

Lydia began drawing at a very early age and always had a love for combining colors. Color selection, its placement and proportions, play a vital role in the overall design process. Lydia draws inspiration from the elegance of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods. She also incorporates the beauty of natural elements, the wonder of butterflies and the richness of the Southwest environment into many of her designs.
